Disposal Events

The best way to dispose of expired or unneeded prescription drugs is through a qualified program such as Yellow Jug Old Drugs or other disposal program/event.  Check below for prescription drug disposal events in northern Michigan.

Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council launched a permanent multicounty-wide medication drug take back initiative to provide a convenient location for residents to properly dispose of prescription and OTC medications. The program was made possible by generous grants provided the Charlevoix County Community Foundation and Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation.  The funding was used to install permanent medication drop-off box at law enforcement offices to collect unused over-the-counter and prescription medications from households.
